Troubleshooting

Fixes for common QFloat problems: items that show Allow or won't open, a hidden panel, locked items, lost changes and missing link previews.
Common problems #
- An item shows Allow or won’t open
- Click Allow, or use Settings › Access › Grant Home folder… then Refresh all items.
- The panel disappeared
- Press ⌥Space, or click the menu bar icon.
- An item has a lock
- Your trial has ended. Your library is read-only until you get or restore Premium. Nothing was deleted.
- I lost changes
- ⌘Z undoes, or restore a backup in Settings › Backup.
- Link previews are missing
- Turn on Fetch link previews. It needs a network connection.
- An AI app can’t see QFloat
- Turn on Allow use in Settings › MCP Server, then restart the AI app.
